A graduate of Long Island University Southampton, Ann Blackmore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Management and has been employed by Summerhill since 2003. Formerly Vice President at the Bridgehampton National Bank, Ann’s deft management and long experience renders Summerhill’s reputation not only as an accomplished landscape company, but also as an organization with business integrity and careful strategic growth.

A native of Ireland, Declan Blackmore founded Summerhill Landscapes on the East End of Long Island in 1993. Passionate about plants and working in nature, he established his boutique company to create beautiful and enduring gardens. His reputation and collaborative spirit attracts top landscape architects, architects, designers, and engineers. Declan is a graduate of Kildalton College of Horticulture, which is located in the striking Suir Valley. In addition to his vibrant, innovative practice, he has a unique mentoring and internship program for horticulture students from around the world.

As a leading member of the Summerhill team, Eddie oversees all aspects of the landscape construction operations team at Summerhill. He graduated from University College, Dublin, Ireland and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Horticulture. He previously worked in Ireland before bringing his expertise and oversight to Summerhill. Active in his community of Sag Harbor, he is a member of the Village Planning Board & Havens Beach Watershed Delineation and Conveyance Committee, and supports landscape projects beneficial to the community.

Tom started his career as a practicing ISA Certified Arborist on the east end of Long Island, joining Summerhill in 2013 to guide their Plant Health Care operations. In 2018 he moved to the landscape construction team, overseeing high end landscape installations in the Hamptons while also working to expand the company’s geographic footprint into New York City, Connecticut and the Hudson Valley. He transitioned to the full time management of Summerhill’s New York City and Westchester offices in 2024. A graduate of St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 2002. Active in the industry, he serves on The Cultural Landscape Foundation Stewardship Council, the LongHouse Reserve Garden Committee and the Cornell Cooperative Extension Nursery/Landscape Advisory Committee.

Carolyn has nearly 20 years of professional experience in landscape architecture and urban design within both the private and public sectors. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. She has developed a design approach that distills and integrates site conditions, clients’ visions and goals and end-users needs. Carolyn joined the Summerhill team in 2023 as a Project Manager and has enjoyed experiencing the development and construction aspect of landscape architecture while also being able to build strong relationships with landscape architects, clients and various contractors.

Aidan works on the construction and design teams as a Junior Designer/Project Manager and brings a multidisciplinary perspective grounded in sustainable design and ecological systems, informed by both academic research and hands-on field experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Pennsylvania State University with a concentration in Earth and Sustainability.

Ashley is an integral part of Summerhill’s garden maintenance team with over a decade of experience across a range of urban project typologies. A graduate of NYU, Ashley worked in the entertainment industry until 2018 when she transitioned to a career in Horticulture.

James leads the upstate construction team and brings over 25 years of experience in the landscape industry working on both sides of the fence as a contractor and as a project landscape architect. James is a registered landscape architect in the state of New York and a graduate of Rutgers University, holding both a Bachelor in Art History and a Masters in Landscape Architecture.

Jacqui holds a degree in Accounting from Brooklyn College but ultimately pursued her passion for plants by completing the two-year Horticulture Program at the New York Botanical Garden’s School of Professional Horticulture. Since then, she has gained experience across a variety of horticultural environments, including the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew – Wakehurst.

Liam brings a diverse skill set to the Summerhill construction team, having worked in hiking trail construction in Iceland and carpentry and design in his native Ireland rigor to starting his career in landscaping with Summerhill’s team in the Hamptons. He studied Architecture at the University of Limerick.

Bronson joined Summerhill Associates in 2024 after completing his graduate studies in landscape architecture at Rutgers University. Prior, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Commercial Real Estate from Monmouth University. He brings an integrated perspective to construction projects which considers both environmental sustainability and economic feasibility.

Ciaran graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland and holds a Bachelor in Business Studies. He joined Summerhill in 2019 and became a member of the team in New York City in 2023. Before joining Summerhill, Ciaran worked in the golf course construction industry. Currently resides in Center Moriches, NY with his wife and son.

A longtime Brooklyn resident, Janie has a BA in Biology and is a graduate of the New York Botanical Garden School of Professional Horticulture. She has been working in fine gardening for nearly a decade, and has studied at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in England. She has a passion for aesthetic excellence and proper technique and seeks to blend art and science through her work in horticulture.

Amanda began her career with Summerhill as the Head Gardener for their New York City team before transitioning to project management on the constrcution side of their operations.

Kristin joined Summerhill as an Administrative Assistant in 2024, bringing over nine years of administrative experience in the construction industry. Originally from Westchester, NY, she now resides in Manhattan.

Spencer is Director of Operations at Summerhill Associates. He holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and has experience spanning landscape construction, large-scale urban construction, and operations leadership, including serving as a lead superintendent on high-rise developments. Prior to Summerhill, he held executive leadership roles in real estate and construction technology, focused on building scalable teams and systems. At Summerhill, he oversees strategy and operations across multiple markets.

Denise has a background in high‑end residential design, complemented with project coordination experience. A graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Sustainability, she brings both creative insight and practical organization to her work.
